Hi! I’m Catherine Fuerte, the technology coordinator, computer, and STEM teacher at Holy Angels School, where I’ve had the privilege of serving for over two decades. While the years have passed, my passion for teaching and technology remains as strong as ever. Each day brings something new—a mix of successes, challenges, and meaningful connections. The ever-evolving world of technology keeps me on my toes, but I welcome the journey with a mindset of continuous learning.
I hold a Master’s degree in Urban Education with a focus on Digital Learning from Loyola Marymount University. In my classes, students explore coding, robotics, digital design, and responsible technology use. I also work closely with teachers to help integrate technology into their classrooms in ways that enhance creativity, collaboration, and learning. Recently, I’ve been exploring how emerging tools like artificial intelligence can be used thoughtfully and responsibly in education. On this page, you’ll find a few sample lesson plans and a link to classroom activities that reflect the kinds of projects I enjoy doing with my students—hands-on, creative, and focused on helping students become curious, confident learners. Outside the classroom, I’m an avid runner who enjoys exploring the beautiful trails of the Bay Area. I’ve completed several half marathons, including San Francisco and Disney races, as well as a full marathon in Honolulu. Beyond the physical benefits, running is my time for reflection, meditation, and prayer—a reset button that keeps me grounded. |
