Hello, I'm Catherine Fuerte, the technology coordinator and computer teacher at Holy Angels School, where I've had the pleasure of serving for two decades. Despite the years, my enthusiasm for my work remains undiminished. Each day brings new and diverse experiences – a mix of inspiring successes, motivational setbacks, and interactions with wonderful people. The evolving landscape of technology poses its challenges, but I embrace them with the spirit of lifelong learning.
Originally from Manila, Philippines, my upbringing was influenced not only by my parents but also by the nuns who guided me through the Catholic school from elementary to high school. My Catholic education laid the foundation for my beliefs, and I'm grateful to work in an environment that aligns with those values. I'm a proud mother of two Holy Angels graduates. My son, a UC Berkeley alumnus, is happily employed, while my daughter, currently pursuing a nursing degree at Seattle University, continues the tradition of Catholic education. With my children now grown, I find joy in pursuing my passions outside of work. I'm an avid runner, covering at least two miles on weekdays and extending to at least five miles on weekends. Exploring the scenic trails around the Bay Area, from the Great Highway to Lands End and beyond, brings me immense joy. I've completed several half marathons, including those in San Francisco and Disney, and perhaps a full marathon is in my future. While the health benefits are evident, running, for me, serves as a reset button – a time for meditation and prayer. Looking ahead, I envision a future enjoying life by the beach, computer in hand, and a delightful cocktail in the other. Cheers to the adventures that await! :) |
